The manuscript is the work of the previous community that symbolizes their life style with reflected their deep interest in science with influented themselves to engage in writing and producing the manuscript with has became the main reference in the present time as a guideline in building a successful society. 

The research word in manuscript has started to have awareness among the academician to study it scientifically. Indeed, the research done which is not depend by theory alone instead it is by looking at it application in the society. Hence, the research work gives a high value towards the development and value added in the society.

The department of Quran and Hadith is inisiating  to organize the international seminar on Islamic manuscript to its significance to expose the research work with has  done along with the current and on going study by the academian fellows specifically in Islamic studies to be presented and discuss among academician. It is hope that through this presentation and the new research findings will be find with it is beneficiated for all of us for the betterment of the ummah.

   المقدمة:

الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد وعلى آله الطيبين الطاهرين، ورضي الله عن صحابته الغر الميامين ومن تبعهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين، وبعد....

فالمخطوطات الإسلامية تراث الأمة المجيد وكنزها الثمين، فبها نقلت إلينا العلوم الإسلامية على اختلافها، وبها وصلتنا أفهام علمائنا الأجلاء واجتهاداتهم، سواء كتبت بخط أيديهم أو أمليت على تلاميذهم، ثم قيض الله لهذا التراث أن يصلنا من خلال نُسّاخ أمناء وحفظة أتقياء، ومع ذلك كله فقد تعرض هذا التراث لتحديات كثيرة منها: ضعف العناية به من تحقيق وشرح وحفظ، أو الضياع والتلف، ناهيك عن السرقات الاستعمارية الممنهجة لإضعاف الأمة ثقافياً.

وانطلاقا من أهمية المخطوطات في حياة الأمة الإسلامية، ودورها البارز في نقل المعارف والعلوم بين الأمم والشعوب، فقد حرصت أكاديمية الدراسات الإسلامية بجامعة مالايا في العاصمة الماليزية كوالالمبور على عقدمؤتمرها الدولي حول المخطوطات الإسلامية في العالم، نهوضا منها بواجبها الشرعي في خدمة هذا التراث العظيم وبياناً للتحديات التي تواجه هذا الكنز الدفين.
